MISSION STATEMENT:

Macon Beer Company, LLC is a craft beer company focused on innovation, sustainability, philanthropy, and developing a strong connection to our employees and community. We expect to maximize profitability without sacrificing quality, purity, or attention to detail through the use of engineering principles that improve value and efficiency beyond industry standards. We will strive to become a source of knowledge held in high regard by the craft beer industry. In addition, Macon Beer Company will become a respected business in the Macon area via investment in the community and promotion of an inviting and supportive business personality.

THE BRAINS BEHIND THE BREW:

The owners consist of long-time friends, college roommates, and occasional jousting opponents, Jeremy Knowles and Cory Smith. They are a dichotomy in every way, including body hair, but it works. Their individual strengths provide balance for one another despite their natural polarity.

Jeremy is a professional chemical engineer with a unique perspective on brewing. He is meticulous, calm, rational and cerebral while being exceedingly passionate about quality and efficiency. Magic happens inside his shiny head and the result is a beer experience that just might amaze you.

Cory is the explosive constituent. He is impulsive, reactive, and overly energetic. He never sits, rarely refrains from speaking, and has a complete disregard for privacy. These qualities give him an edgy personality that can be exceptionally intense at times, but it’s also the source of his creative talents.

Prior to taking on the appearance of competent professionals Jeremy and Cory survived many near-death experiences and inflicted irreparable damage on their bodies as roommates in college. Most of their exploits are unfit for explanation, even on the internet. Nevertheless, they survived both college and the negative influence they had on one another, and the people of middle Georgia are better off because of it.
